Awards and Honors: Chris M. Ireland, Ph.D.
Chris M. Ireland, Ph.D., professor and Interim Dean of the College of Pharmacy and an investigator at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, has been appointed to a five-year term on the National Cancer Institute Board of Scientific Counselors for Basic Sciences.
The 30-member board advises the director of the Center for Cancer Research and the director and deputy director of the NCI on a variety of matters concerning scientific program policy, progress, and future direction of research programs in the areas of basic sciences.
