New Interim Dean
Title: New Interim Dean for the College of Pharmacy
Story:
On October 1, 2009, Chris Ireland, Ph.D. will enter as new Interim Dean of the College of Pharmacy. As Dr. Ireland fulfills his new roles as Interim Dean of the College of Pharmacy, he will step down as the Chair of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. He replaces John Mauger, Ph.D. who will be moving to a new position in the Office of Senior Vice President for Health Sciences. Dr. Mauger will indeed by missed by Faculty, Staff, and Students, but we wish him great success in his new position. Dr. Mauger is leaving a wonderful legacy with the College of Pharmacy, instrumental in maintaining a strong commitment to research, our new building addition and our colleges top ranking nationally. As the new L.S. Skaggs Pharmacy Institute is built the future looks bright for the College of Pharmacy, and under Dr. Ireland's direction, the College of Pharmacy will maintain its noted level of excellence. The Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry congratulates and welcomes Dr. Ireland as the Interim Dean in the College of Pharmacy.
