Title: L.S. Skaggs Groundbreaking

Story:

On August 11, 2009, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Utah celebrated the groundbreaking for the new L.S. Skaggs Pharmacy Institute. A beautiful atrium will connect the exisiting L.S. Skaggs building (left) with the New Phamacy Research building (right), providing over 120,000 sq. feet of new research space for College of Pharmacy work to four new floors with state-of-the-art laboratories.

"The current and new building in the new Skaggs Pharmacy Institute will stand together, like father and son, honoring these two great Utah businessmen on a campus and in a city they both loved and called home."-Claudia Skaggs Luttrell.

This new research building addition will unite all College of Pharmacy departments, including:

Pharmacology and Toxicology
Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Medicinal Chemistry
Pharmacotherapy

We are truly excited to witness the exciting transformation starting with construction in Spring 2010.
