Profile

Dr. LaFleur is a research-track faculty member with the Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research Center at the level of Assistant Professor. She received her PharmD degree from the University of Utah in 2003. While completing her PharmD she worked as a medical writer for the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics Drug Information Service providing formulary reviews for the hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and under contract for various insurers nationwide. Joanne went on to design and implement a Medicaid drug regimen review project for the Utah Department of Health, which continues to function under her oversight. She has since completed a two-year fellowship in Pharmcoeconomics and Outcomes Research with the Pharmacotherapy Outcomes Research Center as well as a Masters of Science in Public Health from the Department of Family and Preventive medicine at the University of Utah. Joanne has publications in the areas of pharmacoeconomics, Medicaid drug utilization, and hospital administration as it pertains to investigational drug services.
