Profile

Dr. Yu received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Alabama. Her dissertation focused on the application of three nonlinear regression models in data for health care utilization using STATA and GAUSS. She also had a M.S.in applied statistics with concentration on Data Mining using SAS Enterprise Miner. Her modeling experience on Data Mining has focused on Decision Tree, Neural Network, and Logistic regression. As a Ph.D. student, Dr. Yu worked as a research assistant for professors in the department of Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies at the University of Alabama. She has taught Principles of Microeconomics and Statistical Data Analysis at the University of Alabama. Dr. Yu joined PORC as a first year fellow during the summer of 2008.
